چکیده
The application of ECC materials in major stress and energy dissipation regions prefabricated reinforced concrete (RC) shear walls to form ECC/RC combined can improve the seismic capacity structures. damage mechanism a 1/2-scale two-story spatial structure specimen wall under low cyclic loading is numerically simulated. By comparing numerical simulation results with experimental results, correctness method verified. On this basis, detailed whole process analysis carried out by method, including distribution ECC, compression crack reinforcement, structural fabricated joint displacement. effectively reflects cracking, damage, failure law extensively reveals internal force structure. Localization of viscous behavior and shear energy dissipation in articular cartilage under dynamic shear loading.
Though remarkably robust, articular cartilage becomes susceptible to damage at high loading rates, particularly under shear. While several studies have measured the local static and steady-state shear properties of cartilage, it is the local viscoelastic properties that determine the tissue's ability to withstand physiological loading regimens. However, measuring local viscoelastic properties r...
متن کاملSeismic Performance of Square RC Bridge Columns under Combined Loading including Torsion with Low Shear
During earthquake excitations, reinforced concrete bridge columns can be subjected to a combination of axial load, shear force, flexural moments, and torsional moments. The torsional moment can be much more significant in columns of bridges that are skewed, curved, have unequal spans, or unequal column heights. Combined loading including torsion can result in complex flexural and shear failure ...

The results show that the shear span ratio has significant effect on the mechanical behavior of the new-typed prefabricated shear walls, and the new-typed prefabricated shear walls have good ductility, all the ductility factors are greater than 4.0. The study also proves that the construction of the vertical joint is reasonable and its connection property is reliable. The vertical joint which c...
متن کاملShear and Flexural Stiffnesses of Reinforced Concrete Shear Walls Subjected to Cyclic Loading
Seismic analyses of concrete structures under maximum-considered earthquakes require the use of reduced stiffness accounting for cracks and degraded materials. Structural walls, different to other flexural dominated components, are sensitive to both shear and flexural stiffness degradations. Adoption of the gross shear stiffness for walls in seismic analysis prevails particularly for the design...
متن کاملStudy of Energy Dissipation in Accordion Thin-Walled Tubes under Axial Cyclic Loads
Energy absorber systems like metallic dampers for controlling the structural vibrations due to earthquake have witnessed considerable development in the past few decades. Also there are some studies on the energy absorption of thin-walled tubes due to impact load. Thin-walled tubes have a large deformation capacity and are suitable energy absorbers in the structure during an earthquake provided...
